Scotland drew 2-2 against Austria in World Cup Qualifiers 2022

A goal by John McGinn five minutes from time prevented the victory at Hampden Park in Austria (2-2) and gave Scotland the draw, in a match on the first day of the European Qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar 2022.

The Austrian team was always ahead. He had controlled the game, but the local team led by Steve Clarke reacted to each setback so that the game had an electrifying end at the start of the Playoffs.

It was Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic who led Austria. I score both goals. The first goal made in the 55th minute, to which Grant Hanley responded in the 71st and then in the 80th. However, five later, McGinn beat Alexander Schlager to avoid the visitor's victory.

At 85 minutes, the Aston Villa player performed an acrobatic maneuver and scored from 'chalaca' to seal a good result for Scotland.

Denmark won:

Switzerland and Denmark won as visitors in their start in the European qualifying phase for the Qatar-2022 World Cup, this Thursday, by beating Bulgaria (3-1) and Israel (2-0), respectively.

Less than a quarter of an hour was enough for the Swiss to decide their match in Sofia, as all their goals came in the first twelve minutes, with goals from Breel Embolo (7th minute), Haris Seferovic (10), and Steven Zuber ( 12). Kiril Despodov (46) signed the honor goal for Bulgaria.

Switzerland is thus the first leader of group C, waiting for the other match of the day in that key, between Italy and Northern Ireland in Parma.

For their part, the Danes won in Tel Aviv with goals from Martin Braithwaite (13) and Jonas Wind (67) to get off to a good start in Group F, where this Thursday Scotland drew 2-2 with Austria.
