Football or futbol1 (British English football), also known as
football, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each and
some referees dealing with the rules are properly followed. It is widely
considered the most popular sport in the world, practiced by about 270 million
people.
The pitch is rectangular natural or artificial turf, with a
goal or arc on each side of the field. It is played with a ball to be moved
through the field with any part of the body except the arms or hands, and
mostly with the feet (hence the name). The objective is to enter into the
opposite goal, action is called score a goal. The team that achieves the most
goals at the end of the match, lasting 90 minutes, is who wins the game.
The Spanish Football League is the main competition between
football teams Spain.1 is held annually since 1929, and the season takes place
between the months of September (or late August) and June (or late May). The
tournament consists of leagues (divisions) interconnected, which is the top
flight First Division. At the end of each season and depending on the results,
the participating teams can climb or descend division.
