Juventus footballers and Coach Maurizio Sarri have reached an
agreement with the club to reduce their wages by an amount equal to the monthly
salaries of March, April, May and June 2020. The decision was made following
the suspension of Serie A and
European competitions to limit the infection with coronavirus and to meet society at an economically complicated
time: cutting wages will save 90 million Euros. The press release also explains
that "in the coming weeks individual agreements with members will be
finalized, as required by current regulations".
If the competitions of the season resume, any additions to
the fees will be negotiated. Juventus
is the first Italian Serie A team to
have found an agreement of this type to reduce fees.
