Since losing the Dutch
Super Cup against PSV at the end of July, everything went well at Feyenoord. They went out of 9
consecutive victories in all competitions to take the top spot in both the
Eredivisie and Europa League group.
Match Schedule:
Fenerbahce vs.
Feyenoord
UEFA Europa League
Group stage
Date: 29 September 2016
at 3:05 PM
Venue: Sukru Saracoglu
They shipping of the weakest parts with comfort, scoring many
goals but have shown their cushion side too by beating PSV in the league and
Manchester United in their first match 1-0 Europa
League margins. They have been almost unrecognizable from the side that
started 2016 with 6 defeats in 7 games.
Fenerbahce are very strong at home in Europe
and rarely defeated. They have not made the most convincing of starts to the
season with 7 points in 5 league matches so far. However 6 of those points have
come from their last two games, a win Kasimpasa 5-1 and 2-1 win over
Gaziantepspor.
They have a decent draw in their first match Zorya in Europa League group but with a
double-header against Manchester United comes, it wills really feels like 3
points are needed here.
That will not be easy, but the way Feyenoord is playing. The main problem for Fenerbahce this season
has been on the back. Only two have kept clean sheets in 10 games and both came
against a pretty poor grasshopper side in the play-off round of this competition.
Both teams have scored in 4 of their last 5 games and the
Dutch team in good shape, I would have to say that a goal Feyenoord looks set
here. However Turkish sides in Europe at home are always a force and Fenerbahce have been well in front of
goal in their last matches.
